The proud winners of July's Sutton Soup!
**Criteria for Pitchers – Pitchers must:
The aim of Sutton Soup is:
To promote the public involvement in community projects that are not run for profit and which aim to benefit the people who live and work in the London Borough of Sutton (LBS), to raise funds for those projects and to develop a sense of social entrepreneurship within the LBS and to provide publicity for initiatives local to LBS that stress low level direct involvement and community self help and activism.
For the purpose of this clause ‘social entrepreneurship’ means that effort directed at changing the lives of the citizens of LBS for the better either through the relief of disadvantage, illness or through environmental improvement and is irrespective of sex, race, disability, ethnic origin, religion, belief, creed, sexual orientation or gender.
Sutton Soup will achieve this by staging regular fundraising events at which good causes serving the LBS can present their work and their need for funding.
Would you like the opportunity to persuade a group of people to fund your community project?
Have you got a great idea to help the community but just need a bit of cash to get it off the ground?
If so you should apply to pitch at Sutton Soup!
Anyone can apply to pitch as long as their project is charitable and benefits the community in a positive way.
Although we welcome applications from registered charities and charitable groups you don't have to be official to be in with a chance of pitching - please do get in touch and let us know what you're planning, we really want to hear about it!
Please take a look at the criteria for pitchers at the bottom of this page**
